Operations Committee

The Operations Committee (OC) functions as the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the Alliance. The elected chair of the Board of Directors serves as chair of the OC. Up to seven members of the OC are nominated from the Board of Directors of NAFSS by the OC and confirmed by the Board either during its annual meeting or by electronic vote. The elected directors of the NAFSS centers of excellence are also members of the OC as are the Past Chair and Secretariat of NAFSS. Members of the OC have two year terms and may be elected for one additional term. Staggered terms of office provide continuity of the OC. The OC meets, as needed, either in person or by teleconference during the interim between meetings of the Board. It is authorized to act on behalf of the Board and to make such decisions and take such actions as deemed necessary to fulfill the mandates of the Board and maintain the direction and momentum of the Alliance. The interim actions of the OC are reported to the Board at its annual meeting and confirmed.
